"HER Better Choice"
"HER Better Choice" Growing up in one of the most notorious, neighborhoods in DC, Mrs. Muhammad knew that there was much more to life than poverty, teen pregnancy, hunger, and crime. She saw so many negative images daily just walking herself to grade school. She vowed to be everything other than what she saw. She knew the people in her community and throughout DC needed help and saw the serious need for mentors, coaches, mediators, parenting classes, life skills training, communication skills, nutrition and much more!
Mrs. Muhammad began her volunteer work with some right in the same communities where she grew up and decided to get her degree in Communication to prepare her for communicating with people of all classes, races, and cultural backgrounds. A Better Choice was “HER Better Choice”; to be better than what she saw, better than what she was, and she wants the same for everyone around her. Her life experiences caused her to make better choices.
